It is soon going to be 25 years since California has become my home, but I have never seen the fires reach the city of Los Angeles this way; LA is not doing well. I am grateful for the space I live in is safe... I am able to do laundry, cook food, and if absolutely needed, friends are ready to give me space to evacuate with them... Jyandon (my cat), Honey Beast (my guitar), my loving car, we are continuing to stand healthy.
The area I live in lost power on 1/7, the same night of my first show in 2025, but power came back 15 hours later. When I left to go work on the morning of 1/8, the fire smoke was the worst outside my door, but my gym in Pasadena was open then, although the food bank where I volunteer had to shut down, and closed for 1/9 as well. At one point, there were no singing birds to be heard in my neighborhood. As I drove, there were electricity poles that were knocked down into the streets from the winds that some say were above 100m/h at one point, and I continued to go through many major intersections without any working traffic signals up to 1/10. The air quality at my place on 1/10 got significantly better. On 1/11, I was trying to get to the area off of Lake Avenue in Altadena (north of Pasadena) where I perform often and have friends... I could not get through because roads are not open to the public, and it is still closed on 1/12. Too many people, their homes have burned to the ground; it is still burning and the strong winds are expected again this coming week.

Both days from 2-5pm, I will be performing music. These two days, if you want to sing with me, hit a drum with me, play your instrument with me, the stage is ours; we are a part of the song.

明けましておめでとうございます、改めて2024年もありがとうございました。
もうすぐカルフォルニア住みだして25年になりますが、ロスの町に山火事が入り込んだのは初めてです。僕が住んでいるスペースはお陰様で大丈夫です．．．洗濯でき、料理でき、さらに、必要であれば避難できるスペースを知人が出してくれるとのことなのでありがたいばかりです．．．ジャンドン（僕の猫）、ハニービースト（僕のギター）、愛車、元気続けています。
僕の住んでいる地区は、今年初のライブをやった1月7日の夜に電気を失いましたが、15時間たった後に戻りました。1月8日の朝家出たときが煙が一番ひどく、その朝パサデナのスポーツジムは空いていたので入れましたが、パサデナでボランティア活動させていただいているフードバンクは緊急に閉めることになり、1月9日も閉店。運転したところ、突風（一時的には風速150㎞を超えていたという説もあり）で倒れた木や倒れた懐中電灯で道があれているなか、交差点の信号機が動いていない場所がたくさんあるのを1月10日まであたりまえに続いていましたが、そのころよりホーム近辺の空気はだいぶ良くなりました。しかし1月11日に自分がよく演奏しているAltadenaの道を車で登ろうと思いましたが、かなり広い範囲で通行禁止になっていて行けません。あまりにも多くの家や建物が完全に燃え落ちていて、今週はまた風が強くなる可能性があるといわれています。
祈ります、祈ってください。
